The Reason For Reading

From a very early age, I have read. Without books, my spirit would've shriveled up and died, just like a rotten cabbage. Reading keeps me sane, and it defines me. I always carry a book with me when I go anywhere, and I find time to read, even when I have 100 exams I need to study for. I mostly like YA, with the exception of some middle grade and NA books.

Yes, this is John Green, my favourite author OF ALL TIME, and the best YouTube video maker ever known to humanity! I realise this has nothing to do with books, but you know.. this was too hilarious to not share it! :D

" "I'm in love with you, and I'm not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things.""

-The Fault In Our Stars.

Best. Quote. EVER!

This is hilarious! But I love it so much! Hahahaha ;D

Yep!
Yep!

The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series #2)

The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series #2) - HOLY SHIT, YOU GUYS, JUST HOLY SHIT. THAT ENDING.... ARGH, THAT GODDAMNED ENDING!!!!
Take Me On - Katie McGarry Oh my God. Oh my God! OH MY FREAKING GOD!!!!Even though there is no cover.... there are two magic words that make this an instant 'to-read': Katie McGarry. I cannot wait.
Scarlet - Marissa Meyer This was just... amazing. Seriously. And that cover... ^_^Review to come.
The Importance of Being Earnest - Oscar Wilde I read this for a school production I was involved in. The Importance of Being Earnest is hilarious and I love the 19th century London feel to it. I played Lady Bracknell in the production and she was so funny to act out as!
Drink, Slay, Love - Sarah Beth Durst "I hope I haven't hurt your feelings,' he said.'I don't have feelings, at least not the inconvenient ones.” Drink, Slay, Love was an interesting book, with a very, uh, original plot. I mean, including vampires and 'unicorns' (or 'were-unicorn's', whatever you prefer) into a story, doubtlessly hasn't been used before, but I thought how the author executed the two supernatural beings was amazing. I definitely didn't see Evan being the unicorn that staked Pearl at the beginning, or how Bethany was clued in. I was like O__OI would recommend this, as it is a pretty light read with humorous lines and includes a cute romance :) But I loved it!
Black Like Me - John Howard Griffin Have to read this for school in a couple of weeks, so thought I'd just add it now :) And apparently we need permission to read this book from our parents, which I think is ridiculous. But I am really excited to read this... the premiss sounds really good!
Lady Thief - A.C. Gaughen There's a second one?!Why did nobody tell me?!!!Oh my God, oh my God, OH MY GOD!!.......Waaaaaahhhh!!!! ;___; COME QUICKLY, 2014!!!
Slated - Teri Terry Actual rating: 4.5 starsWow.OH WOW, OH WOW, OH WOW!Seriously....At times, Slated could be pretty predictable, and there were some frustrating scenes, but other than that, it was fantastic! I felt that the idea of mind erasing was not only super creepy, but it was super fresh, especially in the YA dystopian genre. A nice breath of fresh air. Can't wait to read the second one, although I don't feel like there was much of a cliffhanger at the end, and it was kinda confusing at the end. Like who the hell is this Nico guy? Her teacher? So is he a stalker?! And did Kyra really kill that creepy dude? But then, I want to know (urgently!!!) why Kyra was slated. Or was that in the end?! I told you I was confused!
Secrets from the Past - Barbara Taylor Bradford Please note that I do not particularly want to read this - it sounds as boring as hell - I am only going to read this because my friend gave this to me on my birthday. -____- She obviously doesn't know my taste in books at all ...
Eve - Anna Carey Ugh. Boy, am I disappointed in Eve. There were too many times where I wanted to punch Eve. So annoying, so stupid and she'd probably give Bella Swan a run for her money with all the complaining that went down. And don't get me started on the pacing. The whole time I was like
Heist Society - Ally Carter I just couldn't get into this. *Shrugs* I'll try again another time.
Prodigy - Marie Lu I loved, loved, LOVED Prodigy! Such amaze balls!
